Follow these easy steps to get your Electrolux FAVORIT 40730 Dishwasher up and running in no time.

1. Check for Damage

Before using the dishwasher for the first time, check for any damage caused during transport. Do not connect a damaged appliance. In case of damage, contact your supplier.

2. Set the Water Softener

Manually and electronically set the water softener to match the water hardness level in your area. This helps avoid scale deposits on the dishes and in the dishwasher.

3. Fill the Salt Dispenser

Open the door and remove the lower basket. Unscrew the lid on the salt dispenser by turning it anti-clockwise. Fill the dispenser with special salt for water softeners. Run a dishwashing cycle to wash away any salt water and salt crystals.

4. Fill with Rinse Aid

Open the rinse aid dispenser and fill it. Rinse aid ensures smear-free, gleaming dishes and clear glasses. Refill when the rinse aid control indicator on the control panel lights up.

5. Installation Location

The dishwasher must be installed on a firm floor and adjusted to ensure it is stable and level in all directions. Ensure the drain hose, inlet hose, and mains cable can move freely and are not kinked or crushed.

6. Electrical Connection

Plug the mains plug into a correctly installed shockproof socket. Ensure that live parts and insulated wiring are not accessible after installation. Multi-way plugs, connectors, and extension cables must not be used.

7. Connecting to Water Supply

The dishwasher can be connected to cold and hot water supplies up to a maximum of 60°C. It must not be connected to open hot water appliances or instantaneous water heaters. Consult a plumber if water pressure is less than 1 bar.

8. Starting a Dishwashing Cycle

Check that the spray arms can turn freely. Turn the water tap on fully, close the door, press the ON/OFF button, and select the desired cycle. The programme display will light up.
